29D4 Vacuum less and they are very hard to come by and near impossible to find parts for. |

Dr Mini rebuilt my dizzy recently in that he rebushed the unit. I then locked the advance and now use an accuspark black box hidden away beneath the dash to manage the advance. So for a resto there are some good options still with the 29d, just not as easy as off the shelf directly. |

The body is completely stripped down & is off to AA sandblasters in Canberra next week for bead blasting.I have found an old school panel beater who still lead wipes & file finishes body work.He works from home with a great w/shop & spray booth. He is close to our area 1hr.I will post some photos shortly. My distributor is from a mini K I think & is not a 29d4.I see there is a 29d dizzy on e/bay at the moment for $44 I wonder if it is the correct dizzy? Cheers Kath. |

That dissy is not the one you need. It's just had the vac advance unit taken off. There has been about one per year listed on Ebay and they go for around $150 in average condition. I was chasing one for my collection but have been out bid each time. Original dissy caps are also hard to get and expensive. Are you restoring your S to original spec? |

I want to keep the resto as origional as possible,so I would like to use an origional dizzy otherwise I will possibly use an aftermarket electronic dizzy, any suggestions as to a good dizzy at reasonable price or should I use the dizzy that I have & convert it to electronic? it is marked 41404 With an arrow pointing at 1170 & no vac advance.Matte he is down the South Coast at Bega,I will let you know how he goes after he gets started. Cheers. |
