Nothing like that, it seems to be a compresion konck, wheels bearings & calipers are tight, basically i don't know

I have a bad knock in the front passengers side of my wifes clubman, i've replaced the lower control arm bushes, castor arm bushes are fine, i've spanner checked the whole front of the car, and the knock is still there, i knocks over any bump big or small. Anybody got any ideas on it???? Doogie Turns out it was the top shock mount lose, a 5 minute fix up, now she's all perfect again, my wifr is happy to drive it out to the swap meet on Sunday, WOO HOO Doogie |

here are some suggestions, some perhaps absurd 1. since the engine was out not long ago, is the problem inside the engine bay, engine mount, steady bar, loose attachment 2. it wouldnt be the wheels scuffing those bonsa flares of yours? (which indeed would make more of a scuffing sound) |

 OMG...Pops has the same thing!!!! Same side too!!!
I think mine is a stuffed knuckle joint.

Can't see it being much else than a knuckle really. Bugger all else in there to go wrong.  Make sure top of `strut' (same function as `trumpet' in dry cars) is located properly in displacer, before you pump it back up..

I've had that with knuckles before, but I like Gezo's idea of checking if hydro bag is secure up there inside the subframe. |

Do you reckon those shock absorbers make the suspension too stiff? I reckon I need to soften mine up a little with the standard non-adjustable konis I've got fitted. Maybe I'm just getting too old and fat..... |

<edit> all Konis are adjustable AFAIK, but you need to take off car, push to full bump and rotate the top part on the bottom.. it turns the valving..

I had my suspicions about that, I had read too much saying that they were. I've been too lazy to try it though. Maybe one day..... December looks free..... |
