Is 12/70 when they changed the compliance plate from 4 rivets to 2 shame it's a reshell

I believe so. I have photos of 4 rivet plates up to 11/1970 and my 2 rivet plates start at 12/1970.

Seems odd that they would want to put a small bore head on a 1275.

Deceitful description.... "the car is a genuine mk2"

Shell not cooper s and neither is motor... so its just a few cooper s bits bolted onto another car.

No wonder he cant get better pics of vehicle ID :roll:

I thought the holes didn't line up - you can go big on little, but not little on big... I bet it's a 998 with an S number stamped on it. Maybe lens type welsh plugs??

Look at the back of the block, that welch plug is too small and close to the oil pipe to be a 998...
