Hi guys/gals,

I would like your thoughts on how to handle the following.

I have just taken the guard off and behind it have spotted this. The car obviously had been in an accident and has had some dodgy repairs.

These photos are of the inner wing connecting to the front panel.

My assumption is that the previous person welded the new front panel directly onto the old inner wing.

I'm thinking that I need to cut the weld, remove the old bit off of the inner wing and then re-weld the front panel to the inner wing.

Are you talking about the little angle bit?

I'm talking about the bottom piece that looks like a dog ear. It is welded to the inner wing. I don't know if that's how it should look or... not.

The 'sort of triangle' bit with the two 6-8 mm holes in it is a proper part, just looks a bit dodgey. the little angle bit above it is on my car (original), looks like an add on but it should be there.
