Did they wait until it was too late to make from their lives even one iota of what they were capable? Because, you see gentlemen, these boys are now fertilizing daffodils. But if you listen real close, you can hear them whisper their legacy to you. Go on, lean in. A friend of mine, and a work colleague, died last week. He did not show up for work on Monday, and subsequent welfare check found him, no suspicious circumstances. He was only 46. He was very much into the maker culture and gadgets. He loved his Land Rovers, photography, sea kayak with sidescan sonar, 3D printer, lathe-mill-drill, quad-copter and was a whizz with computung technology too.

Here is his website http://www.pixel-landscapes.com/. I don't know how long it will stay up for, so have a look while you can.

As you can see he was well into living life to the full.

His death has given me great pause, especially as I am in Canberra and not able be with our other friends and colleagues. I am rethinking a number of things in my life, not least with Minis.

Expect to see a serious revival of my track car soon. Expect to see progress on the rebuild of our house and garage.

I am also trying to work out how to convince my wife that we should spend money we don't have on a road Mini since I have not had one since we got back from the Netherlands over 4 years ago. I had my eye on a particular car that is quite expensive, but if authentic, is something I have always wanted.

Yes, sorry for your loss but it really is death which shines light on life.
I know at my age (28 today) a lot of people dont appreciate life to the full. I have lost close mates, many family members including my dad, and the upside is i dont think twice about enjoying life. Many mates and friends dont appreciate the value in each day and its sad to see

I hope you get the track car going and the road mini you desire. We are only on this lump of floating rock for a finite time!

Don't seize the day with that overpriced road car Mick. I have done some studying and some things don't add up.

PM me with more.

I was thinking that there was less and less evidence. I think he got sold a story.
