Just wondering if GR used to do like generic cam grinds back around 2000/2001? Did he have a general grind that he would do for most road going 1275-1330's etc? Or was each big block cam done differently?

I had my 1275 cyl head ported and hardened valves seats fitted by GR and he also did grind on my camshaft at the same time. Unfortunately I never received an invoice or spec sheet etc which outlined the cam specs.

I understand GR is hard to contact so didnt want to go calling him up 15yrs later with a random question. Just thought others may know.

Call him. The only reason he may be hard to contact is if he's out of hearing range of the phone or away from his workshop. I spoke to him this morning. As always he was happy to talk and give advice. I'm guessing he'll remember your job as he has a sharp memory.

He sometimes marks the cam with the grind spec (i.e. RE13). Knowing how meticulous you are with photographing your restos, maybe you have a pic from back then that shows the mark?

Unfortunately I didn't own a camera back then. Digital cameras were not exactly affordable in 2000. I used to use my parents Kodak when I was living at home and first started the resto. But once I moved out, mini parts were more of a priorty then spending money on a Kodak camera.

I feel silly hassling GR with a random phone call about a minor job 15yrs ago....
