Last weekend I trundled down to the '19th Yesteryear Power Rally' at Milang which is on the coast about 1hr SE of Adelaide - was a big display of vintage machinery with lots of stationary engines and tractors and 100+ classic cars of all makes and eras.

One car that really caught my attention was a stunningly original 1982 UK import van - owned from new by the same owner and brought out here in the 1990s. Quite amazing as I'd never seen this car before despite being an SA car for 20+ years and would have to be one of the few english vans in the state (if not the only one).

Really interesting to see a 'last of the line' van as it came from the factory, had the twin stalk controls and low back seats, single central black face speedo and the one-piece pressed grille. Black bumpers and no brightwork, low back seats. Really nice to see a mini that you've never seen before! Excuse the crappy phone photos.

Anyone else out there with 80's UK vans?

Remember a Van is a commercial vehicle. No Fancy padding on Dash. The very early vans never even had a Passenger seat. They was optional to have one.
