Pretty sure the Ks were same colour as Mk2 S was. I had a K motor here once that looked the same.
I got the `right' colour (supposedly) from Mini Spares at Padstow.
Their p/no is MINI346, Cooper S metallic green.. $40/L tin.
It doesn't look too exciting, IMO. See pics of Barney & Ha-Ha in Anton's engine thread.

I think the blue may have been the factory exchange engine colour.

ask MistyK - he has a 30000 mile original K that would have the original colour on it still, I'm pretty sure it was like a metallic beige too

Mini K motor was gold yes GOLD in the same tone as the cooper pale green.

Not the rich deep gold used on morris 1100s as seen in czerials Elmo update thread which I think may be an 1100S block with rich gold rocker cover and timing cover.

when I have picture will post.

I didn't know that they had fitted air pumps to the 1275'S? Must have been the late 1275LS huh? (I spotted the plugs in the head)

Did it do much to the performance?

This particular A+ motor is originally out of a late 1275 Moke.. it was in the 850 I bought, fixed body and then sold to Anton's family.
Dunno what power loss effect the air pump had, but it was used on late 1275 Mokes and the 1275LS.
This one now is a 1293, has rimflo valves, a bit of porting, Toyota Corolla rockers and a Tighe 104 cam..

Poor mans 1.5 rockers.. :P
They give a rocker ratio of 1.46:1. So, an RE13 cam gives about 0.423" valve lift instead of 0.360".
Fair bit of machining work to make work properly, though. See the high lift rockers thread in Mini Mods.

BTW when modded they fit 1275's valve spacing, I haven't tried them on a small bore head.
