Hello,

Does anyone know the size or name of the original wheels that would have been fitted to a factory 1970 Morris Mini K? Did they come in a different variety of colours etc?

Photographs would be amazing if you have any.

Thanks

Just normal steel mini wheels with hubcaps just like the Deluxe and 850.
They were silver.

Mini K used standard 3.5B 10 Mini wheels, as used on 850, Mini Minor, Van, Mini Deluxe and Mini Matic.
These 3.5B 10 wheels were also carried through to Clubman, except the GT and Mini S which got 4.5J 10 wheels of Rostyle shape (GT were not Rostyle, they were a similar looking Italian brand with 8 slots not 4).

The B rims were about 1/8" bigger diameter in the well than the J were.
Back when it was legal in the `60s, I used to split new 3.5B 10 outer rims, hot roll the well down and weld them to split 4.5J S wheels to make widies, for Parramatta Speed Shop.

Ta for that, the Firsat name was on the tip of my tongue. And, I always thought the 2 wheels were the other way around.. :!:

Early Mini S (up to 73 or maybe a bit later) were also Rostyle. Cause they were using up old GT stuff.
