Yeah I will swap the layshaft too.

The new mini has a rod change and due to the supercharger only has 1 top engine steady so im worried about the engine rocking.

I gave heaps of 4 synco rod change housings here but really want it to be remote
The rod change box in the new car is freshly rebuilt .

Short answer is no...

If you get a clean/stripped case you'll need the remote reverse gear as well as all the gear shift gubbin's.

Rodney, I should have a 998 4 sync remote , only issue is you will need to grid to suit 1275 crank, easily done as per Vizard tuning book, I will have a look tonight.

you could also just fit bottom steady bars, mini spares or KAD do them

A 1275 will fit onto any 4 synchro remote box, either 22G1128 or 22G846, should be no grinding needed.

re the previous question, NO the rodchange gears won't fit any 3 synchro box. But they will fit in a 4 synchro remote box, layshaft and all. The reverse gear is different though, use the remote box one..

Any ideas what this Gear Box is from, casting number looks like 22G845, doesn't match any normal mini number

It's a 4 sync remote that I have been running on my mini for a couple of years , can't remember where I got it from.

That's a 22G846, as I mentioned above.
Functionally the same as a 22G1128 4 synchro remote box.
