Post subject:  rear lights work on parkers - not on low beam

so earlier I noticed that when I have the light switch on parkers the rear lights and license plate lights work.

when I have it on low/high beam none of the rear lights work. The indicators do and the brake lights do but only when I step on the brakes...

what gives?!?!?! has the prince of darkness struck? lol

was trying to fiddle with the wires to the switch but its 12am and my flashlight has run out of battery :/ I will try again tomorrow. but anything to check in particular?

roundnose 2 position headlight switch, correct?

there are a few terminals on the back of the switch, best to pop the switch out and use your multimeter to work out which is which and which is connected to what. This is a situation where you take a picture of the way it is set up now, and can fiddle with it to get a better understanding of the way things work. If you can't get it right, put it back the way it was in the photo and start again

one (or maybe two) of them is active in both positions - IE parkers and tail lights
one of them is active ONLY in the first position - IE only when the parkers are on - shouldn't be connected
one of them is active ONLY in the second position - IE headlights
