Hey guys im looking a fabricating a fibreglass panel to mount inside the wheel arch over the radiator vents to mount thermofans on.

First one I do will be for my roundy but could do ones for clubbys.

Just wondering if this is something people would be interested in, if so I would make a plug from the first one I build if not I will just make 1.

By vents do you mean the slatted type or the round hole version?
I now have the latter :D

is this the sort of thing you mean?

I did this on my car many years ago and it has worked a treat, It only comes on when stuck in traffic and is off after a few mins, i do have the minispares 4 core rad though and a new plastic fan.

boosted mini - did you cut the fins out?

I am interested in this as my matic runs fine. but when stopped long gets a littler on the warm side. I have a thermo fan on the way and I was looking at getting something similar.

yes, all the grill area was removed and i made the alluminium shroud to suit, I also have a 4 core rad and this fan come on only when in traffic for longer periods, with just the fan on the grill it worked ok, with this shroud fitted the fan is on for short periods.
