Yes I probably posted in the wrong spot but that happens from time to time.

UK. Maybe. Most Imp stuff is becoming rare as rocking horse doo doo.

My brother restored his Imp recently, we found even std size main bearings are NLA. I bought the last set in Australia off Jerry Lenstra.
As for pistons, we had to settle for a re-ring job.

I did leave out a small bit of info, 1 of the current pistons has a hole in it. We are talking about an A series engine in a little orange a40 Farina ( some might know the car )

Hmm I'll start digging around and see what I can find, cheers Doc

I figured that it was usual these days to have custom pistons machined from blanks. Is this reasonably cheap these days if your pistons are NLA?

I'm getting custom forged pistons made by a company in the US. Thing is you need specs, drawings etc drawn up to a pretty high standard.

Using Mini costs as an example, standard cast pistons are around $300-600. Forged are around $1000 and the ones I'm getting made are around $1600.

Depends on how badly you want them I guess ;)
