My tire's are indeed close to needing replacement, but i had it up on a hoist this afternoon getting some exhaust work done, and the front LH tire is bald on the inside, none of the other's are..all of them have more wear on the outside from cornering i guess, but it's only the inside of the front LH tire that seems odd.. any ideas? |

Get a wheel alignment. The left wheel is the one that spins, keeping that in mind. ALso, mine wears on the OUTSIDE first, indicating some positive camber... yeah me needs a wheel alignment too. ![]() |

Nar most chances its just the left that spins. Check the marks in the driveway for evidence ![]() Yeah wheelspin is good stuff... cept when it comes to new tyre time ![]() |

It hits two wheels if you turn the wheels... but don't do it or you can say bye bye to your diff ![]() |

Still seems odd...go around a round-a-bout...hook it left, then right..spin the inside RH wheel around from weight transfer and direction of the wheels, then left to exit...spin the LH front... It depends which way the wheels are facing, as to which wheel will spin..maybe if wheels are dead centre, it prefer's the LH wheel? but if you turn it right it will spin the RH and turn left it will spin LH... |

When they did the alignment, was it only the toe out they checked? Did they check castor and camber.. maybe something is bent or worn... ![]() |

It's cause it's a clubby that's why ![]() I was just about to say that, "Wheel alignment" is a badly used generalised term ![]() |

Your on a roll tonight aren't you chongly ![]() ![]() Hmm...I got it aligned at Mr. Bob Janes..not sure what they did.. I know my diver's side tie rod has a little bit of a bend in it..passenger's side is straight... There is a knock also coming from this side when I take off...it's not engine related, definately suspension ball joint, bearing play maybe? Bearings got replaced a little over 6months ago though...timkens too..if i hold the wheel at 12 and 6 and try to rock it, there is about 1mm play total..drivers side has none..zip..squat.. It was up on a hoist today getting the exhaust done and I had a closer look, couldn't really find anything obvious... but i didn't get a great look.. |

Assumption- by `tie rod' you do mean the tie bar that runs forward to subframe.. If a tie bar is bent, that will increase castor, and as the bottom arm is mounted at an angle, alter the camber a little bit too. ![]() Go buy some nice HD adjustable tie bars (& new rubbers) from Karcraft or somewhere.. ![]() Or, at least remove and straighten that bent one. |

A knock when you take off: CV? Pot joint? are the rubbers all ok? Quote: let's get a hack saw to lilly and put a clubby front on her
Actually I might have to do this one day as there is rust up the front there ![]() |
