Are the Advan A032 tyres any good in the wet. I just picked up a mini and on the way home I pulled out at 100kph to overtake and lost traction. They still have a bit of tread left on them.

Dont imagine they would have the best traction in the wet being that they are slicks/semi slicks.

They are good enough to use as wets in Group N. Seem to be ok

Should be all good now - just swapped the fronts to rear.

The fronts were A032R's with about 1.5mm depth dated 2003. Rears were D93J's with 4.5mm depth dated 2009.

Don't buy cars at night. You miss a lot of things.

Be careful. If the front has a lot more grip than the rear the car will want to turn around when you least expect it.

The old fronts are definitely stale. They can behave "not as advertised" when that far out of date - bin 'em or rip them at the track only IMO

Checkout the English suppliers if you want A032's. I landed a set of 4 for $500 from Minispares including postage.

That's a good price considering the Aussie dollar at the moment.
I am going with A008's. The car will be used more as a road car. No more racing - for now.

I run A008s. But I have a traction problem in 1st gear from 5000rpm up (Mk2S box, 3.647 diff). A032Rs have better traction.
I'm going to refit my 3.44 diff when I get a round tuit. 8)
