Looks like something went wrong for that to happen. I remember reading on here somewhere that those quickshifts aren't real friendly on the gearbox. |

Is that worn bit steel? If so, where the slot is worn you could hardface it with toolcraft electrode then grind the slot to size. Probably last 30 years then. I like how people machine stuff out of soft rubbish then plate it to look expensive.. haha |

Yeah I imagine it's steel? The chrome on the stick itself is starting to get a bit ordinary. So I could repair it, but would then need to re-chrome the stick. I'll just bin it. |

The other thing you could do to fix that one is get the slot milled out to be wider, then make a plastic bush to fit over the peg in a size to match the new slot. When it wears out you only need to replace the plastic. |

It really looks like a complete cock show! The way the stick has worn into the aluminium collar because they haven't got the right shape, then the way the locating pin has worn into the stick because it is the wrong hardness. |

I think the pin has worn into the stick leaving a sharp edge and then it's worn into the anodised housing? http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i91/H ... 1bixfa.mp4 |

New stick arrived. Noticed a distinct difference in the quality of the chrome plating (for the worse). Also what's interesting is the angle of the stick once it's located into its socket. Notice the notched section on the right side of the cup section. They are both lined up but notice the difference in the angles of the stick. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Gotta love chinese `quality'. Not. Touch the edge of the new slot with a file. I bet it's soft, = rubbish. |
