Quite fragile however. You only once have to forget to unclip them as you grab the belt and they're gone. They might have been better in metal. Nevermind, they're available and not at a great cost either. |

I have a box full of old BMC seat belt bits as Dad was a seat belt engineer at BMC. Let me have a look you might be lucky. The later style hook probably only suits the later belts where the tongue has a square hole. |

If you want that particular style and not concerned about originality, you would likely find something at the hardware store, these packs have something similar but metal. http://www.bunnings.com.au/ramset-wallm ... k_p2261042 |

Hmmm, they look like they'd be easy to replicate with pinkisil and moulding them. |

I also found these. Anyone know what they were used on? They are like a much larger version of the post 1966 Mini hook. Maybe for the buckle tongue with the rectangular hole. Maybe not used on anything as Dad use to bring home lots of samples. Lots of Ford stuff, BMC and Ford seemed to be using the same seatbelt supplier around this time. |

My S has a piece of plastic coated wire looped around the webbing with a hook. Seems to work ok. |
