Hi All,

I'm Jenk from Kellyville NSW I'm about to buy my third Mini (the first 2 I owned was 30 years ago) a White 69 1100
which I want to reupholster the whole interior and fit a bigger engine 1380 or thereabouts so if anyone can assist or has something I might be interested.

Welcome to the group, I'm sure you'll get some assistance from the guys on here. So, the white car, is it the one you had or you're buying?

Have you looked at it, where are you?

We all know red ones go faster but whites not far behind.

I suppose it all gets down to the price, bearing in mind it's going to be 30 years older than your last ones. Are you mechanicly minded, as in able to check it out/fix it yourself? By needing work, anything to use as price bargaining item.

You can tell everyone it's British Racing White, or maybe a BRG roof?

He's asking around $9000 for it... I am mechanically minded, worked In a mates engine shop many years ago not to mention the many cars of my own I worked on! Luckily it was painted recently not needing any body work... I had my spray painter mate check it out. Ha ha British racing white sounds good, what do you think for 9k?

newely painted, just one little hint, go around it with a fridge magnet, in the normal places for the rust, sometimes they just bog and paint for the unsuspecting buyer. and welcome aboard.

Thanks Davo.... I've already checked it out for rust and bog, in addition I've seen photographs of the prep and paint process which shows the car in bare metal... so no worries there.
