Hi just wondering if anyone knew what this heater is out of ? An old guy at work gave it to me and he said it was in one of his minis , but I've not seen one like this before .
Any help would be great

I have one similar - typical period aftermarket heater, bought in a repco type shop back in the day and installed at home |

Aftermarket heater, I think it may be a Smiths from the 50s. |

Michael, Is that the Smiths one they called the `beehive'? Looks similar to how I remember, it was a round one. |

 I thought the Beehives had a bit more of a rounded shape?

I think you are right, Mick. They don't mention beehive in the advert below, although it was probably the users that coined that term rather than Smiths. I see there's a kit for a Morris Mini-Minor M850, whatever that is.  EDIT: Try pronouncing recirculatory. Beehive's a lot easier.  Attachment: Smiths Heaters ex Repco Catalogue min.jpg

That is a Teo-Denso aftermarket heater. You can still make out the start of the Teo-Denso logo on the nameplate in the centre of the doors. They were fitted to many things in the 60's, Mini's, Holdens, you name it. these, the smiths Beehive and the Tudor heaters were reasonably common though are a bit harder to find these days. They often tun up on eBay and Gumtree. |

It is the same Smiths heater fitted to all Land Rovers from about Series 11 1959 until heaters came as standard around series111' Cheers |

I think a lot of the Land Rovers has the similar Tudor heater, which was virtually identical to the later Clayton heater.
