Hi I have just recently imported my 1979 mini from Ireland. My dad has taken care of it for the last 7 years as I've lived in sydney. On arrival the wheels look like the attached photo. Any idea what this is, and how I can rectify the problem?

Thanks in advance

Look like they've been anodised? In short to create the same finish they'd have to be stripped, polished smooth and re-anodised. Else you could sand them down, prime and paint.

i've done them by rubbing them down and polishing them. Only thing is you have to keep them waxed/polished after.
