Hey guys. Last Christmas I lost my rotten child in a blazing inferno.

It's time to start again! This time it's mostly done. An estate end morris with the heart of a metro in it (1275) and it's looking nice and a lot more reliable than the last mini. Only thing is the roadworthy and the bane of 13" mags. To the fella's out there with big wheels, how difficult was the task to stop the bastards from rubbing. Trimming the guards? Any rewelds? There's so many flare kits my mind is exploding. I have 12x5" mags from the old mini but i'm not sure whether there's been warping from the fire (three out of four tyres were popped open). I'm thinking i'll take them to a tyre shop to see if they balance and go from there, but some advice would be appreciated. I've seen the bushing kits for steering racks to limit the turning circle but i don't want to take away from the fun of driving a mini.

It wont pass rego like it is those wheels are sticking out too far. You need bigger flairs or smaller wheels :)

I'm glad you got another one that's better than your old one.

Or less camber - that's saved people on this forum before. Looks like it's pretty far positive there!

How wide are they? 5" should fit under those guards fine - are they 6"?

Pretty sure they're 6". Just ordered the nylon spacers to see how they go. What do I buy for some negative camber? I've been throwing money at minisport.com.au

group 2 wide would cover those nicely wouldnt they? Just to add confusion for the arches decision. The following link has some arches http://www.bud666.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Arches.htm

Yeah you would have been.

Try karcraft in Sydney, next day delivery and will be much much cheaper.

That or just import parts yourself from the uk (usually cheaper than minsport SA too)

I have 10" x 6" wheels on my mini and had to modify the guards (guards are haddit anyway so just bent them rather than cut them), also had to get group 2 race flairs to cover them. Bought my flairs from minisport England.

You reckon bending the guards, group 2 flare pack and a couple of camber kits? I'll obviously go for the 12" spares i have since it's an easier alternative but the 13's still look pretty trick. Only reason I need 12 or 13 is because the front disc brakes are too big for any smaller.
