I used to enjoy travelling down from Sydney to Melbourne for the annual Coopers at Como Concourse. Stephen Dalton did such a great job and staff organising this wonderful event. I hope that Stephen and his team are organising 50years of the Cooper S this year. Used to take sometimes 2 cars down. It was the Best Mini show in Australia. I travelled to shows across Australia. Thanks Sports850man

organising events is fun.... the first time, the second time, maybe even the third time, after that when all you get is people expecting you to keep doing it, entrants complaining, onlookers saying you should've done it differently , and no-one else willing to do the work, it gets a bit old

I passed the comments in your post on to Stephen. He was appreciative of your feedback and remembers fondly the good old days. No chance of a return though as he's moved on from those organisational duties. I think he feels he was eventually 'used' by some, like in Simon's description.

Even from the little detail about you in your post Stephen said he thinks he knows who you are. He still has an amazing recall of the past.
