Does anyone know how much bigger they were? Ive been told and seen a few sites online that they had an endurance tank so to speak. now i have one but i cant seem to see any difference in size to the naked eye. short of filling it up, which i cant really do yet as the car still doesnt have paint on it, i cant really measure it. Just wondering if anyone knew the truth.

I think it is 34 litres instead of the usual 25 litres.

Not intending to hijack, but can someone post pictures of the 34 compared to a 25 litre tank in a car.
I'm sure many would be interested in extra capacity depending on boot space intrusion ?

The flat section from the seam that protrudes out into the boot lid opening is noticeably bigger.

Was it funny in the 1275 LS leyland decided to put in a bigger fuel tank that kind of over hung the spare wheel space. Whilst doing this they also decided to put on larger wheels taking up more of the spare wheel space. I remember it was a squeeze between the tank and the battery.

Standard tyre size on the 1275LS was 145/70-12. They fit in there OK.
But people used to fit 145-12 instead because they are cheaper and easier to find here, but then they overhang the battery box. :cry:
