I am ripping my hair out in chunks. Wanting my car to be totally legal and complied with all mods means that while each mod on its own is legal they can't all be used together.
A supercharged engine requires
Dual circuit braking system (bloody useless)
2 speed wipers
automatic return indicators (go figure it is a 63 Cooper)
effective windscreen demister (see above comment) I have windows that open.
However it cant be used with racing harnesses, but they can be complied on their own if it is not supercharged.
The racing seats can be used as long as it uses the original mounting holes, not so if it is not supercharged ( what the???)
My front brakes are too big at 10.5 inch diameter. Heae this, they will stop the car "too rapidly for the chassis" (repeat what the #$@%) I can however run a 8.4inch KAD 6 pot setup that will happily put my head through the front windscreen. As for the roll cage it is acceptable as long as it is not within reach of the drivers seat from any aspect. Not sure if they know this but you can reach the rear parcel shelf from the drivers seat in a mini.
Just having a bitch session.
Cheaper than a shrink.

That's ridiculous.

I doubt it all applies in SA though :).

Here are the SA regulations.

Every single time I encounter a Gov agency and attempt to fight my way through the red tape to get anything done I have to sit back in amazement and wonder which one of the thousand monkeys sitting at a thousand typewriters actually came up with 80% of these rules

Hmmm, very interesting.
Tell me about your father.
Would you blame the situation on him?
Yes, I see.

That'll be $100.
