Specifically, did they have wing mounted indicators? Rear seat belts? Child restraint points? Side intrusion bars in the doors |

Australian production ended in 1978. They did have rear lap/sash belts but not inertia/retractable, pretty sure they had child anchor points. No wing indicators. I don't think they had any intrusion bars in the doors. |

Thanks for that, well if they weren't so roduced here in 1979, obviously imports were sold. What did they have. Is there documentation? This has obviously come about from my mini compliance of a 1979 Irish import roundnose. Even though the adr says cars had certain things did minis really? Is there a more accurate piece of paperwork to work off? |

They didn't sell new Minis in Australia after 1978. All Minis after that were imported privately or imported used. |

Ok! Well I'm lost then!! The other thing they brought up was a handbrake warning light! Any mini owners have one?! Oh and my 6x10 revolutions stick past the arches. I know I can stick normal wheels on to get compliance, but is it a thing cops hate , and what is the penalty? |

Handbrake warning light was fitted to all locally made Minis from around the start of 77. It was also fitted to Police spec cars from about 1969. Not hard to do, it is just a door light switch mounted on a bracket on the handbrake. |

I'm sure I have seen posts here or Ebay of 1979 car's (very very few) But maybe as Gold Brocade said carried over into 79. The only answer as the last one made is a 78. I know 78 was the last yr of domestic production of minis. Could be totally wrong but just seems familiar |

All the imported Rover minis should have side intrusion bars done for compliance? |

I'm just wondering if someone has done it and would be keen to do again, for cheaper than what I've been quoted!! |
