I can get the measurement for you ,; do you need the overall size of plate holder or just number plate?

39.7cm over all.
There is a small step on it and that measures 38cm wide.

if you give us the size of the european plate we could make one from paper and take a picture of it on a boot lid - would that help?

Not obvious what you are trying to do.

However, an early UK Mk I boot lid is exactly the same as an early Aus bootlid. (And would fit your GT - if indeed its yours and that's what you are trying to do...)

In *about* 1965 Australia moved to the smaller boot lid flap plate that matches our number plates ...and which is shown in your photo of the GT.

Cheers, Ian

I think he just pinched the picture from Micool's build thread as a reference. So its not his GT

We'll interpreted Morris 1100.
I sent Arnaud an Australian boot lid with narrow flap as he is building an Australian Mini which will be a bit unique in France. He probably hasn't received my boot lid yet. It was estimated at 60~90 day delivery by sea to France.
