Mick & 16sth,,, you both made my day edit-->(oops, not "dad",,,fat fingers),,, sitting here smiling,,, havn`t had a good hearty smile for a while,,, thank you

& yes i spose that big pile of cranks is pretty-well how ReadSpeed used to be,,, cams & blocks etc too
hundreds & hundred of the things
i remember once havingyears of simply boring blocks, running into the cold rooms & picking a crank & a cam (already reground/hardened & balanced & linished & just a quick clean, check for size, pick out a new set of bearings out of the bearing cupboard (a whole wall of the damn things) & building mini engines,,, & repeat process for next one,,, over & over & over,,, it was non-stop engine reco system
& dad would send 20x cranks away for grind/harden/balance process (done "HIS" way mind you) so we always had plenty of stock, cams too,,, all sorts & grind numbers all in a wall cupboard, all red-rust-prooffed,,, all marked,,, all ready to go.
those days are long gone now but the memorys just keep flooding back to those "Good-ol-days

wish dad was here to see what`s happening, he`d be pretty choofed to see the progress but i`m sure he would still be winging & whining that it`s not done the way he wants it , nor would it be done quick enough

anyways,,, back to fitting engines into engine bays i spose, dad would be shitty at me spending time talking to my mates on the net instead of fitting engines
