Hi guys , I am getting close to reinstalling my engine into my Moke. I have had distributer out, head off (converted to unleaded). New timing chain. Is there a way while out that I can roughly get it timed before it goes in so that it will be close? Timingchain installed correctly, have made timing marks clearly visible on flywheel, new points fitted aswell as cap/ leads. Cheers, Mooman |

As long as your points are just cracking open at TDC or just before TDC it will fire up and run fine. |

You could always statically time it to what a workshop manual says for your car and it should be more than good enough to get you running. |
