Post subject:	Brake conversion from 8.4 to 7.5
Hi Guys I have 8.4 inch discs on my MK1 from a metro and I was wondering since its been converted over to disc brakes can I put 7.5 inch discs by just removing the old rotor and calliper and keep the fittings that I have on there now or do I need new hub, brake lines and so on, the reason for this is im going to put 10 inch wheels on it. Your help would be much appreciated.

I have done the conversion using the kit above from minispares, I also replaced the rear wheel cylinders to the 5/8 bore Cooper S ones

I've also done this but got my kit from Karcraft. Also changed the rear cylinder to 5/8".

I have the 7.9 inch disc brake setup with 10 inch wheels and wish to swap to vented 8.4 and 13 in wheels, maybe we should talk?

Metro hubs are different around where the outer wheel bearing seal fits and the casting isn't cleaned up as well where the disc actually sits because 8.4's sit a little further out. You may need to (as I have in the past) carefully grind away the metal getting in the way but it is possible
