Can anyone confirm that these are original carb bodies for a 1967 MK1 Cooper S please?

If not, what are they from?

That sounds right. They would have had the AUD 146R and 146L tags on the float chambers and M needles standard and no vacuum advance ports..

The Mk2/GT had AUC 870 and 871

+1

I remember them by the bigger number 1341/2 is the MK1 and the smaller number 870/1 is the MK2.

Thanks for your responses. I have two sets of 1341 and 1342, but one 1342, the carb on the drivers side, has a vacuum port

The 1342 was just the casting number, so it might have also been used for another application. The spec of the carbs was specified by the tag on the float chamber. The 997 and 998 Coopers had vacuum advance on one carb, could be from that?

E.g. AUC 1342 carb with vacuum advance

As timmy201 said, these bodies were apparently used on several vehicles so are not unique to the Cooper S. If you Google the numbers you get quite a few hits. :)
