I have January 66 as the finish date for the Morris 850.
The 850 was replaced by the Mini Minor which commenced in Feb 66.

Is the boot lid correct? 8)

So some 850's had windup windows  . Would be very scarce , they couldn't have made many of them

My original 64 has the 'short' bootlid.

And one 2 screw taillight and one 3 screw..

Is it possible it sat around for a while before being sold in '66? Or it got sold second hand with a new book? Or is the body number right for a '66?

The body number is right for a 66. It is the highest number I have seen and it is pretty close to the total production number that I have in a book.

This vehicle is build number YMA2S1 60401. The last 850 built was YMA2S1 60688 in January 1966 thus making the advertised car very close to the end of production.

Wind up Windows (From the Factory) on a 850??.. I wouldn't have thought the factory would have left the 850 door catch on, as this car has 850 latches.

We have 850 Body shell number...60542... this car had changed to a one piece roof lining, so some changes were showing up in the 850's, we also think it should have an Aust boot, but might have had some that were left over.

To change doors on a car, the check straps usually stay with the door... What check straps were on late 850's with sliding window door??

When did sliding windows stop being fitted? I thought it happened when the Morris Mini Minor (850) started.

It says matching numbers, it didn't say matching panels.

I don't know what specs the last 850s would have had. The interior is correct (door trims) for a Mini Minor. They started only a couple of weeks this car. Who knows if the last 850s got wind up windows?

The boot lid looks wrong (unless they wanted to get rid of old stock) and one tail light is wrong but that could have happened anytime.

What do you think 850man?

The later 850's had a one piece headlining, shorter boot lid and in government fleet pack wind-up windows.
