Hi all,

very new to the mini game, I have a 1971 Mini Clubman which was a November 71 build. Just trying to work out the engine size. Compliance plate has been stamped with code:

2-3-4 5A-7
8-10A-15-20

Mini YC2S7 2993

Any help would be greatly appreciated or any other details about how to find out the size of the engine.

Thanks,

I agree it should be an 1100cc for that year, but mini engines are easily changed over the years, so unless you have proof the engine is original (ie eng number matches logbook for example) may be best to post the prefix of your engine number (should be stamped on the block RHS front near the water pump end). From that, people can tell you exactly what engine you have and if different, what car it came from.

Engine number should start with 1001 or 1000.
