There's one of those in Adelaide, William.

A friend of mine owns it. 8)

I have been in it  :P

Revs to 12,000rpm if necessary..... but he has only taken it to 9,000 in my presence...

Yep its a nice piece, thats for sure.

Is that a scavenger pump for dry sump oiling?

Would dry sump work on a Mini? Does it leave enough oil to keep the transmission happy?

Me is confusered

yes very tuff in deed, from what i have read and can see the external oil pump is just to get oil to the head as the STD oil pump is not good enough to lubricate the head as well as the motor, and i do not see how that crank pulley for the cams would fit in a mini bit too long.

but i guess you would make it fit hey

Yeah you've seen other engines that can be crammed into minis, right?

Yes, you can dry-sump a Mini. The guy that works at Bernie-Jones Cycles used to have a yellow Clubby with A 10-Litre oil tank in the spare wheel well.

And put me down for one of those KAD engines, too

i'm guessing that is THE oil pump hanging off the front since the won't be a cam inside the block anymore driving the original one?

Lot of trouble and $$$$$ to get one, and you still only have a 3 bearing A series crank in it.. 12,000rpm? I don't think so..
Power they give is over rated too.
I'd have a Starlet Turbo and 5 speed in a Mini well before one of these. And I'm not a conversion man! 8)
