Well, I decided to get my front seam covers off on the weekend, and well I was rather pleased, they are in great condition with virtually no rush (after the wire brush went over).

But, I've mostly damaged 1 of the covers, can you buy new covers or are they something you have to make up yourself sort of thing?

Awesome, with peace of mind comes the destruction of the rear seam covers

Umm, I mean I'll take the rear ones off this weekend

Ive been told that when you put them back don't use the clips that dig through the paint and start a rust point - use silicone and glue them on - just dobbs not all the way along.

Was planing on that, although I was planning on doing it all the way along. Is there normally a seam cover on the bottom that runs horizontally along the car? Like under the door and joins up with the wheel arch edge/seam. I know chrome strips go the length depending on what your doing, but what about just the center section?

OK, Its just my side seams were mis-aligned when welded by the looks of it, and just overly not very pretty.

Ummmm.....guys.......don't use silicone to stick seam covers on to your cars - it contains acid which eats into your car........so I've been told. :)

Hooroo
