Laingy has just put an RE266SS one in his 1387 stroker van. We took it up the blue mountains this week to run it in, it pulls like a train from 1500.
Better than the RE83 that was in it, also has much less tappet noise. Top end will be better too but it's not gone past 4000 yet.

Not to be confused with Graham's previous RE266, the 266SS is a different grind.

If you search on 266ss as the search term and GR as the author you'll see what GR has to say about it.

Looking for those who have installed this cam for their impressions.

Just my thoughts, GR wouldn't release a new cam grind unless it's an improvement on the last. I wouldn't hesitate putting it in my engine. If it suited my needs.

It's a good cam.
Good for a fun street car with a bit of motorkhana action for sure.
Better than the original 266 with more torque.

I had a 266SS installed into my Deluxe last year.. a good cam for street use with plenty of power.

Thank you ladies and gents, I never doubted it would be good and have been told as much but I just wanted some more impressions I think I will be using it.

Hi all from Jakarta, Indonesia.
I just bought 266SS from GR and plan to install it in my 1310 mini.
At the moment I use Kent 266. Please share experiences in 1275 engine. Thank you

Better than Kent 266, or Graham's original 266. More torque all the way up.
Works well in a 1275 or bigger with either 1.3 or 1.5 rockers. Stick with std or 1.3 rockers on the 998-1098.

Went from a 266 gr cam to a 266ss cam on a car I just bought. Apart from blowing the head gasket the 266ss works a lot better.
I find it has more pulling power and its more noticeable down low.
