My 1098 overheats on idle howeverit will go back down to normal temp once i start driving again. It doesnt take too long to overheat, 5 minutes atthe lights and it starts to creep up. Any suggestions for diagnosis?

Loose fan belt, partially blocked radiator, corroded water pump. Just suggestions that come to mind. :-)

Apparently my fan is on backwards, althought there seen to be some debate about the proper direction. Can anyone clarify this?

fan is rooted too by the looks of the top blade

dunno about newies, but that type of fan actually has "engine side" written on it
