Post subject: | hydraulic suspension |
Just had a thought on my brain and was wondering if it was possible. I am looking into air suspension and hydraulics so i can slam my clubby when parked, i have a set hydro displacers and was wondering if anyone could tell me if it was possible to rig up a pump and reservoir so it can let the fluid out and make it hit the deck. then pump it back up so it will still drive like a standard wet suspension mini. Im not interested in them operating individually like some airbag and hydraulic setups, i just want it to sit stupidly low but still be able to drive it. |

Could hook the hydro up to a couple of outboard motor trim pumps, 1 for each side. Could maybe use some tricky valving to do it with 1 trim pump. ![]() |

Yeah i was thinking a couple of 12v hydraulic pumps that come on with the ignition and a pressure shut off valve to raise it to standard height automatically,a switch on the dash that opens a dump valve but wired up so it cant be switched while ignition is on. Not sure if the fluid would work in a pump designed for oil though or if it would even work as i dont know much about hydraulics or the hydro suspension. |
