Hi all,

My dad and I have recently acquired a very early 65 deluxe shell (looks to be a deluxe anyway) to get a couple of chrome bits off of it that are okay and the door handles.

The problem is, it's one of the rustiest examples I've seen for a while.. pretty much the floor front to back is rusted, rust in the doors, rust under the back windows, rust in the A panels. I could go on..

My question is, is it worth someone saving (I certainly am not doing it!) or would she be a scrapper ( :( )

Wasn't sure if being fairly early might make it worth saving.

I could get some pics, but just picture rust for now.

James

Please post some pics, there might be some things that people want.
Does it have the hydro suspension?

I'll try and get some pics later.

We're pretty much stripping all the salvageable parts off of the car and selling whatever is surplus to our needs, it will end up as literally a shell.

No subframes or suspension on this one sorry

Well if you'd like a rusty large scale sculpture, feel free to take it off my hands in a month or so! Haha.

I kind of don't want to see it get scrapped. I'll just sell it to someone in the UK... I've seen some of the things they have rebuilt over there haha!

I was thinking of turning one into a BBQ or outdoor seat, or hanging a front or side on the wall of the garage. A trailer would be really cool too. Send me some photos when you get a chance
