Hey all, I put the Smiths PCV valve back on Ha-Ha's Weber manifold for his blueslip (gotta look legit, hey- no plastic vent bottle... :wink: ) and guess what, he goes even harder!.
Hmmm.... very interestingggggggg... Ill leave it on until next Wakefield Pk track day... :D

mmmm what would make it go harder kev?? stop an air leak or something maybe??? How did it go today with the blueslip, did my mate give you any hassles :D ?

It pulls a vacuum on the crankcase. Vizard says this can increase power, I forget why..

I think it's a bit leaner down low- more of a pig when cold, even though I opened up the 1-2 idle screw 2 turns to compensate... :wink:

No probs getting blueslip.. but I haven't been to RTA yet! :lol:

I was just reading vizard about this last night. If you create a vacuum in the crank case you can get up to 2hp on the top end. I can't remember what he calls it...

PCV:

The PCV Valve recirculates partially burned gases from the engine?s crankcase to the combustion chamber. This improves fuel economy and reduces engine emissions while preventing the buildup of harmful sludge and corrosion. PCV stands for Positive Crankcase Ventilation.

Hmm...is this the same charcoal cannister on late cars? or something different?

It's just a normal Smiths PCV off a Cooper S, plumbed into one inlet port. Probably should be into both, but to do that I'd need more fittings. :lol:

The PCV is not fugly at all and can be made very bling - its an alloy body and a steel cover so read polish, and polish some more than was and a bit more polish and clear coat the mofo - better than 50cents' dentures.
