Bought these today off gumtree, the fella was cleaning out the shed in Epping of what he said was once a bmc dealership in Epping nsw?????? The problem is there is a bit of glue residue on them, what's the safest way to get to glue off ? ![]() |

If you wish to save yourself a lot of rubbing just place them in a bucket and cover them with turps. put a board on the bucket and come back tomorrow when the adhesive has all softened. Time is your friend. The turps wont hurt the stainless nor will most other solvents it just that turps take a lot long to evaporate. I use a similar technique to remove vinyl lettering from signs. |

Tea tree oil should get it off i used to use it to get sticky tape marks and other sticky crap off when I used to clean computers in offices |

I agree with Aussie Brian, - just use kero or turps to remove the adhesive. I had a set identical to this & when I removed the plastic there was heaps of adhesive left clinging. Metho wouldn't shift it, but it practically wiped away using turps, leaving the surface pristine... |
