Hi guys, Just wondering the rarity of a factory black Mini? I have seen one black 850 in my time, and a couple of black Cooper S. In particular, how rare is a black Cooper? Furthermore - has anyone got any photos of factory black Minis? Cheers Will |

I have 7 on my list of MK1 S's. They look great with the red interior and chrome bits. |

There is a factory black 850 in Bundaberg that used to belong to my uncle. |

Sure am! I'm going to check it out tomorrow hopefully. It seems a fair bit overpriced considering its non originality, rough condition, missing parts and non original engine. Garry Knight's S is a piece of art - is that the one you're referring to? |

Hopefully you can offload the 1275 and buy a 997 for about the same amount. Good Luck. |

For the reasons I listed - definitely. A good condition matching number Cooper struggles to sell for 15k. If it was an S... different story! |

Its a mammoth task. And the body could be full of rust under the house paint! From the photos it looks like a hell of a lot of stuff is missing... $$$ |

Here's an original black 850 I found in Snowtown some years back. Its owner (Max) was the second owner, having bought it only a couple of years old. The colour and trim was original. ![]() ![]() |
