Greetings All.
Putting the wifes Cooper back together. Thought the wiper motor was electrically dead. Pulled it apart, and looks like the white plastic cog has worn it's teeth away.
Looked at local supplier site and couldn't see that part.

It's got 130 degrees stamped on it, and I counted either 85 or 86 teeth on it. The wiper case is dated 5/63.

Any ideas where to find a new one? Is there a updated version?

Cheers
Alex.

Thanks Covetible Mini.

Other than the cog, the motor is perfect. I've been offered a loaner, but would like to fix the original. I'm not sure if I can just drop in a later cog. I presume you are using the later cog in your rebuilds?

I don't understand the change in degrees etc.

Cheers
Alex.

Contact Kevin Baker up on the Sunshine Coast. He is Mr Lucas in Australia. He has helped me out many times including wiper parts. Knows everything there is to know and has a huge barn full of only Lucas parts and is a great bloke.
He has a web page which in itself is interesting. Not that he put up the page - this technology just doesn't interest him. It was done by a local industry group on the coast.

Just thought I would tack on to the back of this thread. My 77 mini has a 96 degree cog.
Is this standard?
The wipers don't really cover much of the screen with a 96 degree sweep.
