Post subject:  Koni adjustable shocks - Bump rubbers

I have been chasing a bump steer effect in the clubby and I finally got around to pulling the rear Koni shocks out to check their settings and found that the right side was adjusted up fully and the left was fully backed off. Both are now at 3/4.

Anyway to my surprise they both had 2 bump rubber stops placed inside the top dust cap tubes which changed the retracted height from 230mm to 250mm and as a result the shockies have been bottoming out.

My fronts only have the thin plastic washer and no bump rubbers.

My question is - Should I place 1 bump rubber on each shocky or run with none?

The car is sitting at a reasonable height now. 2 1/2 fingers at the back - 2 fingers at the front.

Thanks Brad

Brad, my Konis came with single bump stop fitted so I would fit the single rubber to each of your shocks but still check they won't bottom out like that when on the car.

Thanks mate.
I put them back on with one rubber each last night. They were bottoming out really bad when i first got the car. Like driving with a block of wood jammed in the suspension. I had raised the suspension about an inch all round but it still felt too hard. No idea why they wanted the shockies to be sitting on the stops. Just asking for trouble.
