Hey ausmini family, Im on the hunt for some pictures/inspiration. I am in the process of rebuilding my mini van. I want to be able to use the load area, and i want to line the insides. These will befalse panels, that i can make look as factory/period as possible. Whilst im at it im thinking why not i might aswell go a full length hood lining. Has anyone seen this done? And pictures pictures pictures of neat mini van insides! Cheers jamie |

Roger Howard (Howard Instruments) had one at one of the indoor mini shows in Melbourne. The roof lining was looked just like the lining on a sedan but went all the way to the back corners and covered the rail, unlike the lining in a traveller that sits inside the rail. It was really really nice. He won the "best boot" trophy for it. |

Thanks simon ill try and find some pictures of it! A traveller is also something i should perhaps look closer at! Did the car have the full lengty rail like a sedan? Did any vans have this, mines a blind side |

The Traveller has two separate springy frames, the same as the early 850s had. They slide into the roof rails fully assembled. They are quite fiddly to fit. The sides are trimmed with 'door' cards, pretty much exactly the same as the rear of a saloon. Tim |

I made up some rear side panels for my van out of ply, glued it to the metal side panels at the top and screwed small brackets at the base, then covered it with carpet to match the load bay floor carpet. Haven't attempted a full length hoodlining - fitting the precut sedan oner is bad enough? |
