Post subject:  Removing motor?

Ok so Im currently midway through getting the mini painted. at the moment I've got it pretty stripped. I'm almost tempted to just strip it all and pull the motor out and do the whole shell then drop the auto 1275..

I might just be blind but do we have a how to on pulling the motor out? is it something I should attempt even though I've never done anything similar?

Thank you. Might give it a go. probably a little different being an auto but hopefully all the same otherwise..


simon, yeah been slack. cars been apart a few weeks now but its at my mates and ive been a bit busy so have not even had a look since its been sanded down. lol

What I did was to remove the front subframe holus-bolus and then lifted the engine out afterwards. That way the engine bay was completely clear for that to be blasted and repainted. This photo shows the result after the front subframe was reinstalled.
