I went to see a family friend of my dads to day who is a mechanic to give condolences for the passing of his disabled son who I knew

He has a HQ gts monaro coupe he's had it since new and said it took him 12 months to find rubber bushes for one part of the suspension

He told me that him and his son rebuilt his old lj torana it took 7 years and replaced all the bushes with nylon because the son decided to do it 3 months after replacing they were all shot and they were replacing them with rubber again

I said to him yeah nylon bushes it totally useless and don't know why people recommend them over rubber bushes

He said the parts that are made today ain't like what they were like 40-50 years ago when he started working in his dads petrol station workshop and most of the stuff today you cant recondition cause its all sealed units
