Getting the Mini ready for the Leukaemia Foundations Aussie Muscle Car Run. Next stickers to go on are those from our main sponsors including Hot Bricks, Pentair Valves, L&E Hire, Bushman Tanks and Omega Chemicals.

We are doing the inaugural WA Run starting in Fremantle on 24th October followed by the SA Run starting in Adelaide on 9th November with Mini’s At The Mill in between. Over 4,000 kilometres in all.

Still more room for sponsors and always room for more donations. Check it out at http://www.aussiemusclecarrun.com or make a donation at http://my.leukaemiafoundation.org.au/minimaniks.

All funds raised go to the Leukaemia Foundation supporting those with blood cancer and related blood disorders. Our costs for the run are separate and self funded.

Awesome, great cause, well done and good luck! But how does a mini get in a muscle car run and what is the reaction from the others?

As per 1275LS comment, 1966 was the year of the Cooper S at Bathurst - the Gallaher 500.
The Mini took out the first 9 positions outright with 10th being a VC V8 Chrysler Valiant, six laps down.

The Mini was well respected in last years AMCR run. We did a circuit sprint at Bathurst which starts as a drag race down the straight where we beat the V8 Toranas off the line and them caught them going into the Chase. We also did the Legends of the Lake hill climb where we were well up in the mix.

There are a couple of our clips on the Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/Minimaniks

Day 1 – Saturday 24th October – Starts with a show and shine at Wilson Park, then down to Busselton via the
Kwinana Motorplex for Drags! A CAMS sanctioned event. Hopefully the drags are only 1/4 mile giving the mini some chance.

Not sure what time the show and shine will be but I suspect early as it is for breakfast.

Well, the car is in Perth for next Saturdays start. If you are interested pop down to Wilson Park, Fremantle between 8am and 9am. Cars depart at 9am sharp.
