Over the past couple of weeks when i had the clutch in a strange sqeeking noise could be herd. Further down the track i had worked out that it was the throwout bearing which was wearing out. Yesterday i went to start it and it jus was completly stuffed, so stuffed that it jus sezed and stalled the engine. So, up early this morning and bought a new bearing form Thompsons Spares and what do you know, another mini rocked up to get parts. Got home and ripped the old bearing out and was shocked because it seemed like the guts of the bearing must of been melted together.

Ahwell all running smoothly now and i feel quite pleased of myself that i did it since it was my first major job to my mini that ive done since im only young.

By the way it easiest to undo the left engine mount n jack the motor up to get the plate off. I wouldnt sugest hoisting your motor out for this type of job.
