Post subject:  Info re early racing required

Guys,
I am chasing any assistance I can get on the early days of mini racing from 1961 to 1965. Any info on participants, cars type and colour, race results, lap times (basically anything) Photos would be awesome (besides what is available via Autopics etc)
I have put together stacks of info from 65 onwards but really struggling for this era. Any assistance for later times would also be appreciated.
PS book is coming along well.

I can scan some early Catalina programmes. I don't have all of them, just a few.

Greg,

I'll get onto this as promised.

In the meantime here is the front page of the first issue of BMC Rosette from June 1963 showing Minis competing at Warwick Farm. Dreadful quality unfortunately but the paper is so thin that most copies would be dust by now. Beggars can't be choosers, I guess.

Even though you mentioned you have info from 1965 onwards i do have a full set of Racing Car News from 1965 (Jan-Dec) and also full sets from 1966 onwards if you need any missing info?
Also have numerous race programmes from 1960 onwards including Armstrong 500, Longford, WF, OP, Bathurst and some speedway programmes. I will put a list together and PM you.
Article below is from RCN August 1965. Will scan a better copy for all if anyone interested.

Is John McMillan in the BP ad the same one that ran McMillan Ford in NZ? He raced a Cooper 'S' I think in 60s and 70s ?

Thanks mate, no rush. I am seeing Nairne again today to rummage through his gazettes.
