Hi all,

I'm going to be running a Nissan Pulsar dissy in my new set up - and therefore cannot use the vac advance. So I need to block off the port on my twin HS4's.

What do people use to blank off this port? I can't find a part number anywhere for it?

James

You mean the little barbed pipe put of the carb body? Something like this should work (in the right size). Do a search for "vacuum cap". Local auto parts shops should stock them

Cheers timmy, I was hoping to get an exact size to avoid any guess work if possible

Or you could use a bit of vacuum hose and push a small ball bearing into the hose. Not as neat though

Or if you really don't care what it looks like, just a vacuum hose folded back onto itself to kink it and cable tie to keep it kinked.

along the same lines as mini_mad_matt, I'd find a bit of hose the right dia and shove a bolt in the end of it with some gasket goo.

Or, if you use the right sort of plastic hose (air line?) you can heat the end with a match and squeeze the end to close it off.
Don't burn yer pinkies!

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned shoving a match in the hole and breaking it off flush.

You can buy assorted packs of rubber caps on ebay, the hardest part is walking to the letterbox to pick it up.

You can get a Champion pack of assorted sizes from most auto accessory outlets.
Then you will have a couple of every size.
